In push for J&K statehood, National Conference’s show of strength

The National Conference (NC) plans to hold public rallies in Srinagar and Jammu on July 11 and 12, marking its first major show of strength since returning to power in 2024. This mobilization responds to growing criticism from the Opposition and public dissatisfaction regarding the NC's unfulfilled promises of restoring statehood and special status for Jammu and Kashmir. The rallies will precede a sit-in at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on July 20, coinciding with the start of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, as part of the NC's renewed campaign for statehood restoration.
