India gets first dengue vaccine as DCGI approves Takeda’s QDENGA

The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) approved Takeda Biopharmaceuticals' QDENGA, marking India's first dengue vaccine for individuals aged 4-60. This vaccine can be administered without pre-vaccination testing and is effective against all four dengue virus serotypes, addressing a significant public health challenge as India reports thousands of dengue cases annually.
