India may see $1.5 tn family wealth shift
India is poised for an intergenerational wealth transfer of $1.3 trillion to $1.5 trillion over the next decade, according to a Julius Baer-EY report. This shift will lead to more institutionalized family wealth management, with family offices adopting formal governance structures and diversifying investments into alternative assets. By 2034, the alternatives market could exceed $2 trillion, driven by high-net-worth individuals.
