Indian national accused of strangling US girlfriend arrested in Germany
Varun Batchigari, a 20-year-old Indian man, was arrested in Germany for allegedly strangling his girlfriend, Julissa Rubi Salazar, in Tucson, Arizona. Salazar, a 19-year-old University of Arizona student, was found dead on August 6 after planning to end their relationship due to his history of domestic violence. Batchigari faces first-degree murder charges as the investigation continues.
