ISRO tries to retain key personnel amidst an exodus
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has halted the acceptance of voluntary retirement and resignation requests from senior scientific staff involved in key projects, following a surge in resignations. This decision, effective from July 14, mandates that such requests be referred to the Department of Space for review, a shift from previous protocols that allowed local heads to approve them. The move aims to retain critical personnel amid concerns over project continuity, particularly for the Gaganyaan human spaceflight program.
