Japanese scientists use tiny silver particles to make DNA assembly up to 5x more efficient
Researchers at Nagoya University developed a method using silver nanoparticles to enhance DNA assembly efficiency by two to five times compared to traditional methods. This advancement addresses limitations of conventional restriction enzymes, which often produce short sticky ends and have specific sequence recognition constraints. The findings could significantly impact genetic engineering applications, as reported in Nucleic Acids Research.
