Japan’s Omron Healthcare opens first India manufacturing facility near Chennai
Japan’s Omron Healthcare inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in Gummidipoondi near Chennai on October 31, 2026. The 258,333-square-foot unit was established within three years of signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Tamil Nadu government in 2023. This facility aims to produce approximately 300,000 healthcare devices annually, enhancing local manufacturing capabilities.
