Kerala HC asks Centre if better health care in State is a “handicap” for establishing AIIMS
The Kerala High Court questioned the Centre on why Kerala has not been prioritized for an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) despite its high population density and existing healthcare inadequacies. The court noted that the proposal has been pending for nearly 10 years and urged the government to reconsider its stance, especially as the PMSSY scheme's continuation is under review.
