Kishtwar minor’s death: Crime Branch to probe allegations of sexual assault, cover-up
The Jammu & Kashmir government ordered the Crime Branch to investigate the alleged sexual assault and death of a tribal teenager in Kishtwar. This follows protests over claims of prolonged abuse and a fatal abortion attempt, leading to the arrest of at least six individuals, including a nurse. The Crime Branch will take over from the Special Investigation Team handling the case.
