KKR to acquire Medicover India in $1.5 billion deal
KKR will acquire Medicover India's operations for ₹13,000-14,000 crore ($1.5 billion), marking its third hospital acquisition in three years. The deal involves a complete stake sale by existing shareholders and a commitment to inject fresh capital for growth and debt repayment. A formal announcement is expected this week, as Medicover Hospitals operates 26 facilities across four Indian states, supported by over 1,250 doctors.
