Kudankulam data breach not linked to nuclear security: NPCIL
The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) confirmed that a recent data breach at the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant does not involve nuclear safety or security systems. The compromised data pertains solely to the plant's conventional Balance of Plant (BoP) common service facilities, which Reliance Infrastructure Ltd was contracted to manage in 2018. The Kudankulam facility, India's largest nuclear plant, continues to operate its first two units while construction on Units 3 and 4 is expected to complete by 2027.
