LIC pays ₹12,207.25 crore dividend to government
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) paid a dividend of ₹12,207.25 crore to the Indian government for the fiscal year 2025-26. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman received the cheque from LIC CEO and Managing Director R. Doraiswamy in New Delhi. This payment comes as LIC marks its 70th anniversary, with an asset base of ₹59.03 lakh crore as of March 31, 2026.
