‘Like being raped all over again’: UK detective assaulted by coworker questions probe
A Metropolitan Police detective, Linda Williams, criticized the force's handling of her case against former officer David Carrick, stating it felt "like being raped all over again." Williams, who was assaulted in 2004, received a six-figure settlement from the police without admission of liability. She has called for the resignation of Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley, citing the traumatic legal process.
