Lucknow development body plans action against illegal buildings in Aliganj
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to take action against 51 illegal commercial buildings in Aliganj that breach land-use norms, following directives from the Supreme Court. This initiative comes after a recent fire at an illegal complex in the area resulted in multiple fatalities, prompting the court to demand details on such constructions across major cities. LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar stated that enforcement teams have begun site inspections to prepare for potential sealing or demolition of the identified buildings.
