MahaRERA invokes force majeure; extends project completion timeline by four months

Maharashtra's real estate regulator, MahaRERA, extended project completion deadlines by four months due to force majeure linked to the ongoing conflict in West Asia. This decision follows a Union Housing Ministry advisory aimed at alleviating disruptions in global supply chains affecting construction materials. The extension applies automatically to projects with completion dates on or after February 28, 2026, while projects registered after August 1, 2026, are excluded.
