MahaRERA: Size or cost of advertisement doesn't exempt real estate developers from RERA disclosure rules

The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) ruled that real estate developers must display mandatory registration details in advertisements, regardless of size or cost, imposing a ₹15,000 penalty on a Pune developer for non-compliance. MahaRERA emphasized that the registration number and QR code must be prominently featured, with font sizes equal to or larger than the project's contact details. This ruling follows the authority's April 2025 regulations mandating such disclosures, with penalties for violations potentially reaching ₹50,000.
