Manesar civic body to map PGs & guesthouses built in residential zones
The Manesar Municipal Corporation (MCM) will begin mapping and taxing unauthorized paying guest (PG) accommodations and guesthouses in residential areas, following a crackdown by the Department of Town and Country Planning. MCM Commissioner Pradeep Singh stated that property tax will be collected from these establishments, with immediate sealing for non-compliance, as the corporation identified 100 defaulters owing ₹229 crore. This initiative aims to enhance tax revenue, critical for funding civic infrastructure and development projects in Manesar.
