Mobile phone retailers to protest against UPI MDR charges on October 2
Mobile phone retailers in Delhi NCR will protest against new UPI Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) charges on October 2. The All India Mobile Retailers Association plans to cover UPI QR codes with black cloth and stop accepting UPI payments. The 0.4% fee on UPI transfers over ₹2,000 will take effect on October 15, impacting merchants significantly.
