Mohali: Consumer forum orders PUDA to refund ₹14.5 lakh with interest
The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission-II ordered the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) to refund ₹14.5 lakh with 9% interest to a Chandigarh resident for an unfeasible plot. PUDA was found guilty of unfair trade practices for failing to deliver possession on time. The authority must also pay ₹50,000 for compensation, with the refund process expected to follow soon.
