More trouble ahead for TMC? BJP govt may table CAG reports of last 4 years
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in West Bengal may table four years of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports during the ongoing Budget session, intensifying scrutiny on the Trinamool Congress (TMC), which is already facing corruption allegations. The TMC has not presented CAG reports for the financial years 2021-22 to 2024-25, despite directives from former Governor C V Ananda Bose. The release of these reports could further complicate the TMC's political standing as the current Assembly session continues until June 25.
