Nail detachment and hair loss have been linked to weight loss drugs. Should you worry?
A study presented at the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Congress found that users of GLP-1 weight loss medications reported nail detachment and hair loss more frequently than non-users. Specifically, 39% of GLP-1 users experienced nail detachment, compared to 9% of non-users. Further research is needed to confirm these potential side effects and their causation.
