Naksha survey outcome to await Bombay high court's verdict
The Bombay High Court will determine the outcome of the Naksha survey, as the Aug 14 deadline for residents of Margao and Cuncolim to submit property documents has been extended. Justices Valmiki Menezes and Amit Jamsandekar are hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) challenging notices issued by the state, which were found to violate the Goa Naksha Rules, 2025. The court has directed the petitioner's advocate to file written submissions, while the government has issued a new public notice to address previous confusion.
