Nandigram bypoll: Congress candidate Milan Pradhan arrested hours after getting Mamata’s support
Congress candidate Milan Pradhan was arrested on Friday, shortly after receiving support from West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Police stated the arrest was unrelated to the elections and stemmed from an old case against Pradhan. This incident raises questions about the political climate ahead of the Nandigram bypoll scheduled for September 30.
