Neeraj Shekhar's term in the Rajya Sabha will end on November 25, marking the first time in 37 years that the Chandra Shekhar family will be absent from Parliament. Neeraj, son of former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar, has served three terms after switching from the Samajwadi Party to the BJP in 2019. Elections for 12 Rajya Sabha seats will occur on October 16.
