NEET 2024 leak: CBI says no evidence linking key accused Sanjeev Mukhiya to paper’s theft or distribution
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) cleared Sanjeev Kumar, also known as Sanjeev Mukhiya, of any involvement in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2024 paper leak, stating that investigations found no evidence linking him to the theft or distribution. Mukhiya, arrested in April 2023 after an 11-month manhunt, was initially suspected due to his connections to other examination scams. The CBI's decision not to file a chargesheet against him follows the transfer of the case from Bihar Police after irregularities were detected during the NEET-UG exam on May 5, 2024.
