Nepal floods: Why tourists take Rasuwa route to Kailash Mansarovar
Flash floods in Nepal's Rasuwa district have left hundreds unaccounted for, including 137 Indians, primarily religious pilgrims to Kailash Mansarovar. This year, over 13,500 pilgrims have chosen the Rasuwa route, drawn by its affordability compared to the Humla crossing. The Ministry of External Affairs facilitates around 1,000 pilgrims annually through a lottery system.
