Net direct tax collections up 13.2% at ₹13.38 tn, corporate tax buoys
India's net direct tax collections increased 13.2% to ₹13.38 trillion, driven by a 20.7% rise in corporate tax to ₹5.99 trillion. Gross direct tax collections reached ₹16.03 trillion, about 59.4% of the FY27 budget target.
