Netflix paid $587M for Ben Affleck’s AI filmmaking startup
Netflix acquired InterPositive, an AI filmmaking startup co-founded by Ben Affleck, for $587 million in cash, as revealed in a regulatory filing. The acquisition, announced in March, aims to enhance filmmakers' post-production capabilities by addressing issues like missing shots and incorrect lighting. Affleck will serve as a senior advisor, and Netflix noted that approximately 300 of its titles have already utilized generative AI tools.
