No need to pay UPI charges till Diwali celebrations
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) announced that the implementation of the merchant discount rate (MDR) on Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions will be deferred beyond Diwali. Originally set for October 15, the MDR included a 0.4% fee on payments over ₹2,000, capped at ₹300 per transaction. A new date will be communicated soon.
