NYT, Economist among publishers joining coalition to curb unpaid AI use
The New York Times, The Economist, and Agence France-Presse joined over 40 publishers in the Standards for Publisher Usage Rights coalition to combat unauthorized AI use of their content. The coalition, now with over 80 members, aims to establish standards for licensing agreements and protect intellectual property. This move comes amid rising legal actions against AI firms for copyright infringement.
