Oil companies reject E20 contamination claims, say pan-India testing shows quality as per norms
Three public sector oil marketing companies rejected contamination claims about E20 petrol on Friday, stating that nationwide testing confirmed quality within prescribed limits. They reported only a few isolated incidents of elevated moisture and chloride levels. The government maintains that any mileage drop in older vehicles using E20 fuel will be marginal, estimated at 3-5%.
