Over 44.73 crore Ayushman cards generated under AB-PMJAY: Govt
The government reported that over 44.73 crore Ayushman cards have been generated under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). This initiative has also authorized 12.69 crore hospital admissions, amounting to ₹1.92 lakh crore, providing cashless treatment to eligible beneficiaries. The scheme covers a wide range of medical services, including treatments for chronic diseases, and aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure through the establishment of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and new medical colleges.
