Panchkula cracks the whip on illegal colonies
Panchkula authorities demolished two unauthorized colonies in Barwala and Plasra villages as part of an enforcement drive against illegal development. The district town planning department, under Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma's direction, removed infrastructure including roads and boundary demarcations without prior approvals. District town planner Babita Gupta warned that strict action will follow against illegal construction and urged residents to verify approvals before investing in plots.
