Patna civic body's property tax collection rises by 13.9% from April to July
Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) collected ₹51.76 crore in property tax from April 1 to July 22, marking a 13.9% increase from ₹45.43 crore during the same period last year. The rise is attributed to public outreach and awareness campaigns encouraging timely payments, with PMC contacting property owners daily. Officials warned that penalties will apply for late payments after October 1, with an additional charge of 1.5% per month on outstanding amounts.
