Petronas arm Gentari puts India EV charging business up for sale

Petronas subsidiary Gentari has initiated the sale of its Indian electric vehicle charging unit, Gentari Green Mobility India, following an unsuccessful attempt to divest a minority stake in its renewable generation unit last year. The company operates 3,000 EV charging points across 11 states, capitalizing on the growing adoption of electric vehicles supported by government initiatives. The sale process is in its early stages, with potential bidders yet to be contacted, and the business's valuation will depend on the usage of its charging points.
