PMC cracks down on illegal construction waste dumping across Pune
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) fined ₹46.5 lakh to 256 individuals for illegal construction waste dumping this year. The city generates approximately 250 metric tonnes of such waste daily, prompting PMC to establish dedicated transport facilities and processing plants. The initiative aims to enhance waste management and reduce health hazards, with ongoing efforts to tighten monitoring and encourage public reporting of violations.
