PoJK polls a 'cosmetic exercise' to mask illegal occupation, says MEA
India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) condemned the upcoming legislative assembly elections in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, calling them a 'cosmetic exercise' to obscure Pakistan's illegal occupation. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir, including areas under Pakistani control, are integral parts of India, amid ongoing protests in PoJK against electoral rigging and suppression of rights. The protests, led by the Joint Awami Action Committee, demand the release of detainees and recognition of democratic rights.
