BJP chief Nitin Nabin visited temples in the constituency, while RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav led a roadshow questioning the BJP's development record. The bypoll was called following Nabin's elevation to Rajya Sabha, creating a triangular contest in a seat held by the BJP since 1995.
