Pune: PMC cautions property buyers against purchasing illegal constructions in merged areas
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) warned homebuyers against purchasing properties in merged areas lacking approved development plans, following recent demolition drives against illegal constructions. The PMC emphasized that buyers should ensure proper clearance before acquiring plots, as many developers are operating without necessary permissions. Since the merger of 23 villages into PMC limits in 2021, the corporation has become the sole planning authority, responsible for issuing building permissions and preparing a new development plan.
