Russia kicks off voting in first parliamentary election since Ukraine war began
Russians began voting on Friday in a three-day parliamentary election, the first since the Ukraine war started in February 2022. All 450 seats in the State Duma are at stake, with President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party expected to maintain its dominance. The election occurs amid ongoing economic pressures and escalating Ukrainian drone attacks, concluding on Sunday.
