Russia’s refinery woes turn into an oil export boost
Russian oil shipments from western ports are expected to rise by 4% in August, reaching approximately 2.7 million barrels per day, due to domestic refinery attacks and strong demand from Asia. The increase follows a decline in July, when exports fell to 2.6 million barrels per day due to disruptions from Ukrainian attacks. However, ongoing strikes and limited shipping capacity may restrict further export growth.
