Saudi crude finds a new home for 2027
Saudi Arabia will store crude oil at Singapore's Jurong Rock Caverns starting in the second half of 2027, Energy Minister Tan See Leng announced. This arrangement aims to enhance the resilience of Saudi crude supply in Southeast Asia and bolster Singapore's energy security. Saudi Aramco plans to sign a memorandum of understanding to finalize negotiations in the coming months.
