SBI has 5-6 M&A financing deals in pipeline, says senior official
State Bank of India (SBI) has five to six merger and acquisition (M&A) financing deals in its pipeline, according to a senior official. The bank has executed three transactions under the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) new acquisition financing framework, which permits banks to fund up to 75% of an acquisition. SBI's Chairman CS Setty noted that M&A deals often take time to materialize, making precise predictions challenging.
