Scooter sales hit record high in first half of FY2027
Two-wheeler manufacturers dispatched a record 4,865,192 scooters in the domestic market during the first half of FY2027, marking a 29 percent increase. April 2026 set a record with 691,993 units sold, while September reached 995,576 units, just short of 1 million. The surge in electric scooters, which accounted for 20 percent of sales, indicates a growing trend towards EV adoption.
