Sensex and Nifty decline in early trade on surging crude oil prices

The 30-share BSE Sensex fell by 230.95 points to 76,521.02, while the 50-share NSE Nifty dropped 57.15 points to 23,937 in early trade on Thursday. This decline is attributed to rising crude oil prices, which are driven by increasing tensions in West Asia. Major laggards included Infosys, Bajaj Finance, and HDFC Bank, while only Trent and Eternal saw gains.
