Skoda planning to export Kylaq to Europe powered by 1.5 TSI engine
Skoda plans to export the made-in-India Kylaq crossover to Europe, targeting it as an alternative to the Fabia hatchback. Launched in late 2024, the Kylaq is Skoda's smallest SUV and part of its 'India 2.0' strategy, with potential appeal for European customers despite initial design for the Indian market. CEO Klaus Zellmer noted challenges related to homologation, while the export version may feature a 1.5 TSI engine to comply with Euro 7 standards, although cost considerations may favor the 1.0 TSI engine.
