Skyroot’s Vikram-1 to launch shortly on maiden orbital mission: Why it matters, what the rocket can do
Skyroot Aerospace is set to launch Vikram-1, India's first privately developed orbital-class rocket, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh. The mission, named 'Aagaman', aims to validate Vikram-1's performance and key technologies, generating data for future missions. Although the lift-off was initially scheduled for 11:30 AM, it was put on a planned hold at T-4:59 minutes due to pre-flight checks and weather conditions.
