Some BS-III vehicles may require rubber parts replaced for E20 fuel, study finds
A study by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and other institutions indicates that some Bharat Stage III (BS-III) vehicles may need rubber parts replaced when using E20 fuel. Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari noted that legacy vehicles showed no significant performance issues or abnormal wear when operating on E20. The study's findings, which have not yet been publicly released, were cited during a Rajya Sabha session.
