Taiwanese companies plan to invest an additional $20 billion in the U.S., driven by demand for AI applications, Taiwan's Economy Minister Kung Ming-hsin announced. This follows a recent assessment identifying potential investors beyond major chipmaker TSMC, which is already investing $265 billion in the U.S. The announcement aligns with U.S. efforts to enhance domestic semiconductor manufacturing.
