TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee suspended from Lok Sabha over remarks against 2 women MPs
Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kalyan Banerjee was suspended from the Lok Sabha for the remainder of the Monsoon Session after two women MPs accused him of using abusive language. The complaints were made by former TMC members Satabdi Roy and Mitali Bagh to Speaker Om Birla. Following the suspension, Banerjee is barred from entering the House premises for the rest of the session and was taken for a hearing with the Speaker by fellow TMC MPs.
